The day has come and gone and Kat is as Monica put it so eloquintly "Now I am just a Wife!" It was a great day and turned out better than we could have hoped. Rylee tried to steal the show, breaking her arm on Thursday night! She was admitted and had surgery early friday morning. She was a trooper though, she did a run through of rehearsal then retreated to her room for a well deserved nap. Saturday dawned bright and early with Kat jumping on my bed at 6:20 a.m. saying it was time to get up. I promptly told her to shut up and go back to sleep if she wanted her face black eye free for her wedding. You see she had kept Ronda and I up the night before puking in the bathroom(the rehearsal went a little too well:) and doing table arrangements for the reception. It was a beautiful day, hot with a slight breeze to keep us from drooping to early.

Life through goggled lenses

Last night the kids and I went to Wal-Mart to find some goggles for swim lessons. We found a three pack and decided that Analie also needed a pair. Little did I know that I was purchasing a whole days worth of fun, not just an hour. They have had them on and off and on all morning. They look ridiculous running around the yard and riding their bikes with them on, but they are having fun. The lenses are slightly different on all pairs so they also have to trade.
Rafting the John Day River

Don't get a spray tan before rafting, it leaves weird rub marks!
The first of June the Bugliones and the McLeods went rafting on the John Day River. It was a fabulous weekend. The weather was perfect, nice and hot. We only had one thunderstorm roll through and it missed us for the most part. I loved the scenery and can't wait to do the lower John day as it is supposed to be more like Utah.

Thankful
It is 10:30 and I should be going to bed, but I wanted to check my email and one thing leads to another so here I am:) I am content. I am happy. I am thankful.
I turned 32 on Friday. Not a big birthday as birthdays go but it was a great one. Not because of any gifts I received, but because of ones I already had. Travis has been working out of town...alot. And being the thoughtful person that he is he knew that what I really needed for my birthday was to get away. So he and Sheryl, Stacy, Kat and Mom ambushed me! They notified all the daycare moms and arranged for Stacy to watch the kids on Friday. My mom got off work early to come and get the kids for the weekend. The girls pitched in together and gave me IKEA money(my favorite store). Then Travis whisked me away to Portland for a weekend of...me. I had a great time! We went to all my favorite stores and a few of Travis'. He was a great sport, only complaining of his feet and back after we were on our way home! So Thank You Travis, Stacy, Sheryl, Kat and Mom for a great weekend and for all that you do on a daily basis. I am truly blessed to have friends like you.

My Goofy Kids!!
I am trying to learn to take things not as a good day/bad day, but as good moments and bad moments. Trying to learn to let go of the bad and dwell on the good. It has been really tough lately with the staying up too late, missing nap times, exhaustion from playing in the heat and everything else summer brings. Now I know why mothers are thankful when school starts! So as per my self prescribed therapy here is a Good Moment.
I hadn't taken the kids pics in awhile so I got my camera and told them to go sit or stand next to each other. These were the results of trying to take a "good" picture. I never have really liked those posed pictures anyways!!:)

Travis is moving out!!

Of my shed that is :) We spent the last couple of weekends putting up a new shed/shop for him to 'play' in. It has all the amenities; a small fridge, a television with dvd/vcr combo, insulation, a ceiling tall enough to stand in :) and a smooth floor for easy clean up! We moved the old shed towards the fence and poured a concrete pad for his new one. What a difference!! The old one was so small and dark that the new one seems huge!! I expect great things to come out of this shed if he was able to build my kitchen in the little one! Now we just have to fix the backyard again, note the cement truck ruts.

Zacky's Birthday
That same night after Makenzie's recital we all came back to the house and had Zachary's birthday party. His birthday fell on the day after Thanksgiving this year and with all of the friends out of town or busy with family this was the only night to do it. The kids decided before we left for the recital that Zacks party would be a dress up/mickey mouse party. So as soon as we got back they ran and got their costumes on ate some cake. It is so much fun watching Zacky open his presents this year. Everything was "just what I wanted". Thank you to the Bug's and the Thornburgs for spending a late evening with us!
